MYSTICAL ISLAND EXHIBITION ... "ACHILL ALIVE AND KICKING”

It is one of the most amazing places in the world.
Home of the Highest Sea Cliffs in Western Europe, Achill Island is the largest of Irish islands.
Its magnificent sandy beaches at Keel and Keem, the beautiful villages of Dooagh and Dooega and the warm hospitality of its lovely people attract the visitors from all over the world all the year for holidays.
The Island is a perfect location for outdoor activities like windsurfing, sailing, abseiling, diving and many others, and is accessible from the mainland by a swing bridge and by road all year round.
No wonder, if Achill Island has provided inspiration for artists, photographers, sculptors, potters and writers through times, since it is a combination of soaring mountains and beautiful beaches, all surrounded by the Atlantic skies.
Today Achill is a considerable center of fine art that sells in its several art galleries and local craft shops.
This year “Beirut Art World” had the pleasure to be in the heart of this mysterious island, where the beauty of nature mixes up with the goodhearted people of this fantastic place.
Within our mission to promote the artistic and cultural face of our beloved Lebanon, we participated in this International Art Exhibition, in this wonderful island that welcomed us under the title of "MYSTICAL ISLAND EXHIBITION” ... "ACHILL ALIVE AND KICKING”
The artist Liam Kelly curated the event and provided all the facilities and great hospitality for local and international artists.
The Artistic Event was at The Valley House Achill: The Yellow Lady Design Centre & Craft School
The Opening Reception was on May 16th at 7.00 pm and the exhibition will last to 2nd June from 2.00 pm to 6.oo pm daily.
With Guest Speaker: Tony Strickland (Independent Art Curator)
Also performance of Sean-Nos dancing by All Ireland Champion Siobhán Ní Ghionntaigh
From the team of “Beirut Art World” we would like to thank you Liam Kelly for the unforgettable journey we had in your Island.
