Worthless Pretense

 

What gives people the impression of self-importance in life?Is it a good job, a high degree of education or just being wealthy? I don’t think any reason could be logical or acceptable…With time and age I became less tolerant about the nature of people around me!!! I can’t stand pretense anymore, just like that, they get on my nerves. Some people take themselves just a little too seriously, by claiming importance, they exaggerate; and I can’t help myself but feel how fake they are! What makes them distinctly or deserving more merit than others? By putting themselves in a higher position they simply bring critic to themselves…
Why do they feel superior to others? Why so arrogant and full of pretense? All this desperate need to show off… In my humble opinion, it is just to hide inferiority of character or some psychological disorder.Come on people some modesty please!And by modesty I don’t mean those who deliberately lower themselves in condition, importance or dignity for some purpose, No! I mean to have naturally this good trait in personality; there is a significant difference between the two characteristics.
To those who live in an ego-centric world, I’m telling you, to be modest is not a show of insignificance, self-denial, lack of quality or not being proud or haughty…It is simply a sign of self-confidence; modest people know how worthy they are, and let others also know through actions and not veneer...
It is a hidden pride, and self-esteem manner, a noble behavior that you won’t understand because you are far away from the matured process.
You are full of emptiness...
